CONTEMPORARY WORKSPACE WITH TRUE CREATIVE HERITAGE
Wotton Works is an extraordinary remodelled former aircraft factory in North West London totalling 1,178 sq m (12,689 sq ft).
It was formerly occupied by Handley Page, who built the Halifax bomber for the Royal Air Force but has recently been the subject of a carefully considered renovation, enhancing volume against a backdrop of beautifully selected materials.
Planning Permission was secured in 2018 to refurbish the existing building to create a mix of well designed, contemporary and versatile 650 sq m (6,996 sq ft) Live-Work spaces at ground floor level with a single 530 sq m (5,711 sq ft) lateral apartment above with two south facing roof terraces.
It has inspiring architectural interiors, flooded with natural light and is currently being used a location for the photography and film industry.
The building has been designed to be highly sustainable as we recognise that by designing and refurbishing the existing, we can greatly reduce our environmental impact.
Wherever possible we want to avoid wasteful demolition, recycle old materials and when choosing new finishes, fixtures and fittings base our decisions on sustainability first and price second.
We hope Wotton Works will inspire others to reuse not just as a design preference, but as an attitude, a principled process and a way of life. This respect, resourcefulness and responsibility is more valuable today than ever.
We believe that our suppliers and consultants share our values and collectively we aim to prove that conservation goes hand in hand with high quality mixed use development.
